| | To say life is different now, would be an understatement. I officially joined Ecclesia, and will be apart of their Woodlands church plant. That is however not the biggest thing in my life. I've had a job for 6 months now, and to say I enjoy it would not be correct. I certainly tolerate the job, and I am thankful I have one, but I'm seeing how having one hardly completes me.
I've started to exercise, and that is simply good for the soul. I'm meeting wonderful people. I straying away from people I've known for years.
I am learning how difficult it is to not spend money.
I wondering when Marty McFly became such a fighter and would never let anyone call him chicken.
I'm moving out soon
I might be moving to Singapore in a year. (shhhhhhh thats a secret)
I'm starting to move away from objectifying women, but we'll see how long that lasts.
I might be becoming confident, and guess what, its about damn time.
I learning to love those I hate.

I having a hard time believing someone can go to a strip club to minister.
I like kids, and babies.
I'm learning rich people need Jesus too, and are just as broken and screwed up as the people I meet on the streets.
I think, no, I know that I'm finally growing up.
I'm starting to be content in my thorn. My struggles with depression and mania are simply a part of me and will probably never go away, but I find joy in that.

This is the thought I'm ending with. Jesus loved the poor, but he also loved the rich. He was spending time with those in power, whether it be nicademous, zachias, or having a tax collector (matthew) as a disciple. The ones he truly scorned were the religious, the pharisees and sadducees. Sometimes I think it is very difficult to for us to remember that Jesus came for all, and that while they (whoever they are) are rich and powerful it does not discredit them from the kingdom. Yes, the kingdom is a paradox where those who are least are greatest, and yes that paradigm holds, but what I have slowly learned is there are many blessed financially who will stop at nothing to make sure the kingdom advances, and I know plenty of broken, lonely, rich people who want someone to break through and actually talk to them as a human being. Masks are deadly, and I believe it is up to the church to say, we're not about masks, come as you are and simply be. Jesus will make things right, he always does, and always will. Maybe its time to trust him with those who we stereotypically judge as people who want nothing to do with kingdom. So loving those who are poor financially and in spirit is what we're called to do.
Then again I could be wrong.
